What an incredible season the Kings have had. All 3 teams finished in the top 5 making it the first time since 2005.
The A Grade had a shaky start to the year winning 5 of the first 10 games. After a close loss to Modbury away in round 10 the Kings have been rampaging towards finals winning 8 on the trot. The B Grade has also been playing some consistent footy finishing the season with a respectable 13-5 record. This has both grades placed in 4th position.
The Glamour’s have had an amazing season benefiting from the amount of depth the Kings have had in season 2014. The Glams managed 17 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and finished the season 1 game clear atop the table. This gives them the week of in the first round of finals.
The A’s/B’s now face the tough prospect of elimination finals at Haslam Oval this weekend. The action will get underway at 12.15pm with the B’s taking on Plympton in the same match up from round 18 which saw the Kings get up in an arm wrestle. This will be followed by The A Grade at 2.15pm as they take on Old Ignatians. The Kings have had the better of Old Iggies in there last couple of match ups but this will count for nothing in a finals pressure cooker.
Get down to Haslam Oval and have a couple drinks or a steak sandwich from the BBQ and support the Kings on there road to ultimate finals glory.
Get out to Haslam tomorrow to support the Green Men in what is sure to be a fantastic day.
